"Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There" is the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The themes and settings of Through the Looking-Glass make it a kind of mirror image of Wonderland: the first book begins outdoors, in the warm month of May (4 May), uses frequent changes in size as a plot device, and draws on the imagery of playing cards; the second opens indoors on a snowy, wintry night exactly six months later, on 4 November (the day before Guy Fawkes Night), uses frequent changes in time and spatial directions as a plot device, and draws on the imagery of chess.

This time, the Flewins go with Jasmine to Cuba to visit her uncle Andrés, something that Vanessa is especially excited about since she's known him since she was a child and he taught her everything she knows about music because he's a musician. On that trip, the Flewin girls and boys not only meet Andrés, but also his companion, Vivo, a kinkajou monkey who has lived with Andrés since he was little because a pack of dogs was chasing him and Andrés rescued and adopted him. Everything is going well until Andrés receives a letter from the singer Marta Sandoval, who coincidentally, was the love of his life but he never told her because he didn't want to jeopardize her dream of becoming a big star. In the letter, Marta invites Andrés to her farewell concert at the Mamabo Cabana in Miami. For Andrés, it's his second chance to tell Marta he loves her, and the Flewins support him, but Vivo doesn't agree or wants them to leave Havana. Later, however, he reconsiders and decides to go with Andrés. The next day, Vivo tries to apologize for how he reacted to the idea of going to Miami, but before he can, he learns that Andres has passed away, leaving him and Vanessa devastated. Now, along with the Flewins and Andres's great-niece, Gaby, they must deliver the song to Marta before the concert, but the journey will be anything but easy. Will Vivo, Gaby, and the Flewins be able to deliver the song to Marta in time? Will Marta know that Andres always loved her but never told her because he wanted her to fulfill her dream? Let's find out in this musical adventure.
