I wait for him to reach for the hilt of the blade gleaming on the ground, to pick it up and drive it into my heart to end my life. Never breaking his intriguing gaze, we stare at each other for a lingering moment, stopped in time while we waited for the other to make a move. He, a hunter. Me, a wolf. Droplets of water splash against my fur as the hunter pushes off the ground quickly, diving head first out of the cave into the lagoon. Then he's gone. And I'm alone. ~Summary~ Dawn ~ a curious, stunning young adult with the ability to shift into a wolf after being marked and raised by a pack of Charm wolves. All her life she had been brought up to hate and fear hunters from what they had done and could do. Their only goal was to eliminate their kind and make them suffer. The hunter ~ who used to be a bright, caring man, turned cold and hard towards almost everyone after a burden was placed on his shoulder that the Charm wolves had inflicted. This burden has changed him into a man no one can recognize. Now, he hunts Charm wolves for revenge rather than income. He was trained as a Charm wolf hunter for a profession, one of the best hunters out of the group and will stop at nothing to get his payback. What happens when Dawn's mistake leads to the crossing of their paths? What happens when Dawn is allured to this hunter by a strange aura that hangs around him like a dangerous fog? Her mistake changed her life, and led to his burning emerald eyes engraved in her mind for eternity. All Rights Reserved to x_FireLight_x, 2015. ©

Juliette Rivers is crazy. Or at least that's what her parents think, not to mention the doctors. But she knows the truth, that the things she sees are far from imaginary. And worse, those things are out to get her. But maybe, just maybe, a little craziness is exactly what she needs to save her. "Oh Juliette, come out come out wherever you are. Come on my dear, don't you want to play a game with me?" He purrs. His words send a shiver of horror throughout my body. "I know you are out there Juliette, I hear that frantic little heart of yours beating. I can practically see your perfect pale breasts heaving in panic." He takes a few more steps forward then stops. A moment later, I hear him chuckle. He had found me." WINNER OF @ViktoriaRay and @_Tattered's SHIVER CONTEST Cover by @nameeramariyam All Rights Reserved 2013

** Wattpad Featured Story!** A young girl arouses the wrath of an ancient Scottish water spirit who takes her brother's soul in revenge. To save him Brigid must journey through the Shadow realm, begging help and proving herself to each of the totem animal spirits of Britain. Steeped in British mythology and animal lore, The Shadowkeeper is a modern fairy tale written with animation in mind but could also be live action/CGI - lots of CGI! Author's Note: Back in 2005, The Shadowkeeper came heartbreakingly close to being sold to major production companies thanks to good showing in the three screenwriting competitions I submitted to*. A whirlwind trip to Hollywood for an awards night followed by meetings with managers and production companies had my little heart singing (literally one night, at an Etta James concert at the Hollywood Bowl!) Then reality hit. All of the feedback I received was the same: We love it but there's no audience for adventure stories with a female protagonist, change Brigid to a boy and we'll negotiate. Call me stubborn (the two managers offering me representation did) but I didn't think that was a legitimate "note", I thought it was simple sexism and I refused. Since then, The Shadowkeeper has been in the proverbial drawer but I love Brigid, I think she's a badass little eight year old and I've never given up on her. It's now ten years later and the attitude to female protagonists appears to be changing so I'm thinking of submitting The Shadowkeeper again but first I thought I'd pop it up here and see what Wattpadders think. If you like it, I do hope you'll vote and/or comment to let me know whether you'd like to see it on the screen! Happy reading! Darcy. *Competition Results: Finalist, ScriptP.I.M.P.
