In the final book, Chase and Rocky must settle their differences and, in their own way, continue the walk toward recovery. But a pack of desperate dogs, led by a power-hungry extremist German Shepherd, threatens to steal and destroy everything the Patrol loves-- starting with the Bay. Chase is on the case; but he finds out that the threat is closer to the team than he realizes. Chase, fresh out of rehab, works to rebuild his frayed relationships with Everest and to prove to the team that he has changed; but new complications arise that force him to decide what is most important in his life, and what he is willing to give up in order to protect those of whom he loves most. While Rocky is reunited with Gasket, a revelation from her past challenges Rocky to practice the strategies he'd learned in rehab, and it stretches him to his breaking point. Cody, struggling with his own past, tries to ignore the pain that bubbles up and navigate his ever-fluctuating relationship with Marshall. But when push comes to shove, he must make peace with his past when his choices shatter his reality, as the ripple effect breaks the entire team. All of them are faced with the question of how to move on when life is forever brutally and unalterably changed. They must come to grips with the reality that some problems are too big for them to fix alone. And it is in these moments, that they have to come together to protect their home from being destroyed. However, a week before the party is set to take place, they are approached by someone who calls themselves Dr. Raven. He explains to them the legend of the "Hound from Hell" and how it is tormenting the citizens of Everborne. The Paw Patrol will tempt their fate as they take on this supposed Hound.

After the scarring events that had taken place over the last few months, Marshall is left as a completely different pup. Broken, nothing like who he once was, left to fight the constant battle going on in his head. Of course, Everest, does what she can to help him, but she has her own issues to deal with herself. Both pups, despite everything they have endured, are doing their best to help each other with what will be the biggest mission in their lives...
