Jet abuses Sonic whenever he wants to and at school he doesn't let Sonic out of sight. Sonic doesn't tell anyone about him and Jet because he doesn't want everyone to worry about him. But what happens when a red and black hedgehog named Shadow the Hedgehog can see that Sonic is getting depressed and can see past through his fake smiles.
