In this AU, Shadow, as a baby, is sent to Earth with Maria and the Professor coming with him, though they land on the African Jungle. But just as they were waiting for rescue, a NOT friendly leopard attacks the Professor, and then Maria, who trusts a troop of gorillas to take care of Shadow. As the years go by, Shadow became a strong (and handsome) young hedgehog who knows his way through the Jungle as a wild hedgehog. One day, a group of humans, led by Rouge the Bat, comes to the Island and takes Shadow with them to New York, where he meets Sonic, an energetic and mean but insecure blue hedgehog who's popular in the High School he's enrolled in. Though Shadow will later learn that Sonic is being targetted by his ex, Scourge the hedgehog, for a sin he committed long ago.
