Jane Whittaker is fresh out of college and has gotten a new job at the Pentory State Mental Institution. Upbeat, excited, and hopeful, she's taking on an extreme case with eight patients. These eight patients all have different disorders and phobias and have been there for different periods of time. As Jane gets to know them many questions come up. Why are they here? What happened to them? Why are they treated like this? Follow Jane as she finds out the dark secrets behind the institution and the twisted backstories of the patients.
