Eventually they have gotten their fill and decided to leave with the help of Vergil's Yamato but this didn't go as planned as they were sent to a new universe entirely. For as long as Ichigo could remember, he's been able hear a voice that only he could hear. In addition to that, he was able to see the dearly departed and odd mask-wearing creatures the voice called 'Hollows'. This voice has also been one of his few friends and even gives him a strange nickname: 'King'. But Ichigo doesn't mind the nickname. If there was one thing Zangetsu hated above all else, it was humans. Well, the ones that hurt Ichigo. And that was nearly all of them. Sooo..... yeah, his hit list had nearly everyone in Karakura on it (Ichigo's family, Tatsuki, and Keigo were exceptions). So when the golden opportunity for getting Ichigo stronger presents itself, Zangetsu can't help but take it. While Ichigo may have started as the punching bag of all the black-hearted, snot-nosed brats in Karakura, they'll quickly learn why you bow to a King.

After the winter war, Aizen is defeated so Ichigo and his friends, as well as Rukia, go back to Karakura Town. What they didn't know, was that the espadas survived somehow and are now living in the world of the living. The espadas erased the memory from Ichigo, his friends and even Kisuke so that they don't remember the espadas. They plot to take down the soul society. Kaisha has just joined Karakura High School and she can see soul reapers and hollows. She becomes a soul reaper in order to protect both the soul society and the world of the living. First she falls in love with Grimmjow but he leaves the school. Over time, she falls in love with Ichigo but will her love for Grimmjow become stronger? Will she fight Grimmjow in the great battle?

A return of a past soul reaper, who was presumed dead has returned to the Seireitei to warn the current captains of a daunting new threat that has been looming for 300 years. ***Set 35 years after the end of the manga.
