This is Chapter 21 of Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick told from Patch's POV. Nora finds herself lost in Portland while looking for her best friend Vee. She offers up her coat and beanie to a bag lady in exchange for directions, when the bag lady is killed in front of her moments later. Her body disappears from the alley, leaving a distressed Nora alone and scared for her life.
