The words graceful, proper, ladylike and elegant could never be used to describe Perrie Beresford, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Ashwood. Perrie has always had a little too much fire in her to ever be classified as a beautiful young debutante, which is what she will inevitably become in her first Season. But romance, courting, and marriage are the last things on Perrie's mind. Especially when her nemesis, who was once an annoying classmate, suddenly appears in her home as her father's protégé. As Perrie is pushed towards the life of an adult by those around her, she can't help but be pulled into a game of wars within the walls of her very home. But Perrie is about to learn that the line between love and hate are very fine ... and perhaps might not even exist at all.

A man wanders alone, lost in both time and thought in the quiet solitude of a vast forest. Under a watchful gaze, he confronts the fragmented memories of his past; his regrets, his joys, and the weight of a life lived. He relives moments of love, parenthood, and missed opportunities and finds himself reflecting on those moments of his life that consume him. This novella explores the nature of reflection, the human struggle to make peace with the self, and the choices that shape us through rich allegory and profound introspection. With stunning imagery and a narrative that invites readers to reflect on their own lives, this is a meditation on the burdens we carry and the paths we ultimately choose to walk. - - - Winner of the 2025 March Writer's Crown from the Watthub Community

My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal. Glass magic, the weakest of magic, the most fragile, the least effective. Those with it always end up with aide or aid class and a relief type. They were the ones to deal with the aftermath of war, helping those that had already severed their kingdom and those that had yet to come of age. They never face actual war, never risking their life as it was not a life worth risking. It was hardly a life. Now, there are also classes that seem limited to certain standing, take the rogue class for example; they are restricted to support and assassin types. Their sly personalities and abnormal magic perfect for stealing and stealth. Then lead types seem bland, always the same people, warrior class, elemental magic, blah blah blah. Though humans are uncommon within the lead types it's not as if one had heads turning in disbelieve. Uncommon but not rare. Boring really. Everyone's always so restricted with their magic, type, class, and rank, and yet... She exists. A magic so fragile she shouldn't even be allowed in war, a class that doesn't match her personality, and a type that clearly doesn't belong to her. The only thing that seemed to be correct was her rank, F, the lowest. I wonder... Will she thrive with her standing? Or with she burn in the chaos of it? Why don't we find out? (This is a first draft and the plot is a little all over the place)
