Ianto Jones is just a secretary, isn't he? Just a little coffee-maker forever doomed to the dark shadow of servitude. Everyone says that he's happy with his job, that he's always so positive and carefree. But, they don't know him. They didn't know that in his mind, the worst of wars is going on. They didn't know that he considered ending it each and every day. They didn't know that he was constantly depressed, always saving his tears for when he got home. That's what they didn't see. That's what they never noticed. He was simply a shadow, hiding in the back of the facility called Torchwood, doing what he was told and staying out of the way.
