Seto has been to hell and back. Dad abusive, and mom gone. Not to mention he is a sorcerer. In the kingdom of ButterSolace, sorcerers are not treated fairly. But will that all change when King Brice falls in love with Seto? Maybe some help wouldn't hurt.

Seto lives a life of isolation, having only been outside of his house a few times, under the careful watch of his parents. But Seto's mum is killed and he blames himself, so does his father, he cooks the dinner, does the washing, irons all the robes, whilst his father drinks out of depression. He is beaten by his father and tortured with magic, but he never lets his emotions slip. So when he gets sent to public school, he meets someone he can't push out of his mind, but has to or else he will suffer, and starts to finally taste freedom, when everything falls apart.
