Davina is a struggling single mother, but she has a great family to help. George is the biggest actor in the UK, but he's just lost his mother to cancer. One fateful night, George gets some bad news: he's being recast in his main show and has one series left. Meanwhile, Davina finds herself cast as George's character's daughter - a coincidence, for a previous actor who played George's character is Davina's dad! As Davina and George are thrust together, they find they might need each other more than they think. Davina helps George emotionally, and George proves to be a great dad to Davina's son Tyler. But as they begin dating, both partners struggle with the difficulties that come with being a celebrity couple and have to find ways to get through it... Years pass, as Davina & George navigate life and come through the many trials and tribulations. Cancer, death, lockdowns and bigots all threaten to tear their new family apart. But they always fight through and see the light, even if it means seeing darkness along the way...
