Aliya has been at Coreclear Orphanage for as long as she can remember. Not once, has she ever thought about leaving the system, since the world outside holds nothing for her. To her, it's the safest place for her to live. So, she ignores the children who play in the dark. She ignores the caregivers with smiles that don't seem to fit their faces, and she ignores the scratching in the walls, the laughter from the ceiling. But after Jack arrives, things get worse. What once was laughter, became screaming, scratches become clawing, and the smile become snarls. Children begin disappearing, and succumbing to a "Sickness". But, there are no graves for the lost.
Has Aliya's ignorance blinded her from the bigger picture?
And is it too late to help those who are left?
