When Derek's twin brother moves back to Beacon Hills the pack is shocked. They didn't know Derek had a brother much less a twin. Gage immediately takes an interest in Stiles and it starts to cause problems. Derek and Stiles already bicker and argue but now that Gage is home Derek is snappier than usual. Thing can't get any more tense or so Derek thinks. When an unfortunate event puts Stiles in danger Derek blames himself and shuts Stiles out completely, allowing room for Derek's twin brother.

Derek finds himself in a difficult spot when he mistakenly sleeps with Stiles. The two agree to forget it, but Derek can't. Before long, it's becoming a regular thing. Now, Derek has to deal with the issue of falling even more for Stiles or losing him all together. Stiles never dreamed of waking up next to Derek, but it's now a regular thing. However, he has to keep his emotions in check so Derek doesn't realize how he truly feels all while keeping their 'relationship' a secret from the pack and fighting the new big bad in town.

Derek takes the pack on a vacation weekend to a beach, where they share a house. Derek and Stiles are forced to share a room after Allison and Scott claim one room, and Lydia claims another for her and Jackson. This leads the two towards bonding and more.

Not only that but scott has been the centre of attention and jokes as he's been scent marking Kira to warn off other packs. His scent is so strong it masks Derek marking stiles. After saving each others lives, both Derek and Stiles unearth feelings for each other, but just how connected they are come as a shock to even Deaton. When they open up to eachother, what will happen, when old enemies return and shadows fall over becon hills once more, how will things unfold.
