Karkat lashes out at Kankri in a dream bubble and instantly feels bad about it. Karkat, feeling like he has n hope of getting Kankri to forgive him, shuts everyone out and attempts to never go to sleep again. With many other problems arising on top of this one, Karkat feels trapped and only speaks to shout at the people on the meteor. This causes him to loose his moirail for good and the thought that sleeping forever may be the only way he'll get any peace.

When all you can do is get caught in romance, when you didn't want it at all, is a struggle. It gets worse once you learn that now? You have to choose.
