And at the heart of this flickering clarity, one might glimpse a pair of eyes - two eyes of deep blue, as clear as water under the sun. But that deceptive blue, so pure in appearance, conceals the icy abyss of an unyielding will. I finished it a while ago and decided later on to post it here, partly to share the story, but also to honor my past writing self and see how far I've grown. Since then, I've been practicing and my writing style has improved and changed, still I wanted to leave this story up because it's where I started.
