After the lawsuit and their talk at the grocery store, Bobby, Hen, Eddie and Chimney didn't talk to Buck. Maddie suggested something to Buck, but she didn't expect how that would affect Buck.

A sudden, bright flash had him flinching, a red hot burning entering his hands. Sparks flew as he was flung back, his hands and chest burning as he landed hard on his back. His heart beat was loud in his ears, audible under the ringing daze as his head spun. One, and a two, and a three... He rolled over with a groan, scrambling for his helmet. He got it on and looked up, breath catching at the sight of Buck hanging motionless from the ladder. "Buck!" Or Eddie got struck by the same bolt of lightning that stopped Buck's heart. And now he's finding emotions filling his chest every time he touches Buck. But they're not his emotions, so what the hell is going on?

Set after the events of 911 Season 6 Episode 9, Red Flag... Eddie makes his choice and pursues a relationship with Buck. This comes with the trials and tribulations of getting together, being in love, the lightning strike, Buck's recovery, the secret relationship reveal, parental drama, and Buck's past as a SEAL coming back to haunt the 118. I wrote a large chunk of this story during the winter hiatus. Started posting on the archive in February. All of this is already posted there. You may have already read this there. This story will be ongoing and will deal with some heavy themes. Trigger warning up front. They will deal with, but not tolerate homophobia, ableism, Bobby's AA, Buck's history of abuse, Maddie's is mentioned, Eddie's family drama. These triggers and others make an appearance... None are tolerated, and they overcome things as a team and a family. There will be drama, angst, violence, smut, cursing, etc... There will be some angst between the characters. No character bashing ... they actually will deal with their issues to move past them. There is some drama between Buck and Maddie very early ... and then Buck and Eddie against Bobby... Eddie and Bobby, Buck and Chim... These are done to actually deal with plots the show leaves hanging.

The version of 8x14 where Eddie and Chris are back in L.A. where they belong and not in fucking El Paso. This also has Bobby & Athena being confirmed 100% Buck's adopted parents. And him calling Athena: Mama. And Bobby: Pops. 🥰🥰 Then Buddie confessions and first kiss! Along with Buddie roommates! Excuse any medical inaccuracies. 😁 And for clarification, no one dies. Everyone will come out of this fine! Just will need some recovery. ❤️

Buck is a young adventurous firefighter who loves the people in his house like his family, but when the new guy shows up he feels he is being replaced. However the feelings Buck has for Eddie are confusing and not all bad. How will he keep these feeling under control in such a dangerous job? After a long battle against justice, Evan Buckley, mostly known as Buck is finally back at house 118. Injured in duty, his main purpose always was to take back his job on behalf his captain, persuaded he wasn't ready yet. When pursuing the city and his friends in justice, Buck lost the trust and faith of his colleagues and his return maybe won't be what he expected. After all he've been through, the eyes of his best friend could be the most difficult thing to survive. And sadly the year promises to be particularly tough and he might well need the support of his friends. His family. And specially Eddie's.
