After losing her parents at the age of twelve, Thandi spent years running-from orphan homes, street predators, and the crushing weight of poverty. Through it all, her big sister was her shield. Her hope. Her last thread of innocence in a world determined to strip it away. But when violence rips her sister from her life, Thandi's fragile world crumbles. Alone and helpless, she is sold into the hands of the De Luca family-the most feared mafia dynasty in the world. In the dark halls of power, cruelty, and desire, Thandi's stolen innocence echoes in every shadow. And survival may cost her the last pieces of the girl she used to be.
