But this was the start of Revan's new journey, the solace and simple life was not to last. His old nature in protecting the innocent would be his downfall. Revan was born on Tattooine and grew up with Shmi Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker, although they are not blood-related. When Revan was 9 years old, his mother passed away, and Shmi took him in out of respect for Revan's mother who was a close friend of Shmi's. Not much is known about Revan's father, but before leaving he gave Revan his name and said to his mother, 'His destiny lies here when the time comes'.
