On hold Kelly's step dad has early onset Alzheimer's and is not doing well. Although he is her stepdad, all he ever wanted was to be a great dad. Kelly learns that he is trying to live long enough to see her walk down the aisle. She decides on doing a fake marriage. With her opitions limited, she asks her assistant, Normani, to marry her. Normani agrees, not because she loves Kelly, but because she very desperately needs the money. Both of her parents have cancer and her boss is willing to pay for their very expensive treatments as long as she goes through with the fake marriage. When Beyonce, Kelly's best friend and on and off girlfriend, finds out about the fake marriage, she gets on board to help her best friend make this relationship look as authentic as possible.
