Ryker decides to take Takye in, saving him from the hands of the scientists, but it's a hard journey for both of them. Ryker is still too caught up in his grief to look to someone else. Holy Grail. A drug made to enhance the human body in order to combat the desolate world that was destroyed by the war many years ago. Tested over and over again, many of the subjects died or were turned into unspeakable horrors due to the effects. But there were a handful that had risen past the agony that the drug instilled. Ryker is one such prisoner. The drugs were tested on him and because he survived he became a lab rat. A very pissed off lab rat. When his chance comes to seize freedom, he doesn't waste it. By fate or chance, he comes into contact with the gang Fukkatsu. They are out looking for answers to the drug that infects one of their own; Valkyrie. In search of a cure for it, they are traveling to find the source of the drugs manufacturing, one of which Ryker might be able to assist in. If he were willing. Past the anger and the blind need to get revenge; Ryker might be able to help. But he's not listening and he doesn't play well with others. Not even with the pretty blonde who's in charge of watching over him. Even so, Ryker finds himself lured in by the young man's charms.

Valkyrie is dying. The drug called Excalibur is slowly killing him, destroying his organs and eating him from the inside out. No one knows if they can stop it, or if there is a cure. Kilia is trying everything she can to keep him alive, but his state is worsening by the day. Jace blames himself for what happened and he's determined to fix it at all costs. Chasing down the rumors of the new drug 'Holy Grail', he'll do what it takes to get the cure and give it to Valkyrie. Even when it means coming face to face with a past he thought got buried under a building several years ago.

More questions come into play when Lucas' father, Cahastile, decides that his boyfriend, Tyrothane, is too dangerous. Exposing the demon within, Cahastile is determined to rid Drezair from Ty's body. And in doing so, he exposes a deeper truth to the Families power. One that challenges the beliefs of everyone else. As answers slowly surface, the truth that comes to light is far more dangerous than what anyone thought it to be. It's a war against hell.

With his lover gone, snatched away while the house burned, Kydyn has nothing to keep him in check. Raw power courses through him and anyone who gets in his way will suffer the consequences. The warlock will stop at nothing until he has what is rightfully his returned to him. Finding Cinder is proving to be more difficult as each day passes and the chances of finding him still alive dwindle with every hour that slips by. Kydyn was never one to play well with a team, but if he doesn't, he'll lose the only person he's ever cared deeply for. Cinders father wants his power to stargaze, but for what reason, no one is entirely sure of. The only thing that everyone agrees on is that they must save Cinder before the next solstace.
