It's the February after the summer of 1989. And things have changed. Most things have. Except not the way that Eddie feels towards his friend Richie. He didn't realize that he could be happy fantasizing about being in a relationship with his best friend. He also didn't realize that the relationship was a lot more than a fantasy of his.

This story takes place after the ending of movie 1. The kids continue on with their lives, facing a few difficulties that most other kids their age don't have to go through. Readers of my last fic will be just so so excited to hear I'm bringing a special somebody back. If you know, you know. I'll do a better discription latter lol

His parents take extra shifts at work to avoid conversation with their son. Eddie doesn't like Richie at first. Richie is tall and slim dark hair and eyes, and looks to be on drugs. Yay. Everything that Eddie avoids in life. But Richie's personality has Eddie like a magnet. Bev met Richie in eighth grade after he was beat up by Bowers and his goons. She remembers it like it was yesterday. She's like a sister to Richie and is always by his side. Most think they're dating despite the rumors about Richie. Bill liked the way Beverly looked since fifth grade. He thought she was really pretty. Short curly hair, green eyes, perfectly pink lips. He thought he was in love with this girl. So his current friends make some few new friends. Stan is in love with Bill. And he can admit that...to Eddie. Eddie knows, and he's always been super supportive. Derry doesn't like Queer people. Stan isn't out, but he'd still do anything for his close friends...well...crush. Ben is on the football team. He's shy, but he's been friends with Bev since freshman year. She'd come up to him and spoke to him in one of their shared classes one day. Since then he's had a massive crush on her. Mike doesn't talk much. He's quiet and un confrontational, but he'd Fuck someone up if they hurt Ben. Ben is like a younger brother to him even though they are the same age, and he may not be mean, but for Ben, he can be.

EDIT: I looked back on this story a few years after I wrote it and MY GOD is it bad- prepare yourselves Hey! Eddie Kaspbrak is new in town and is prepared to start off junior year alone, when shockingly Richie Tozier befriends him. Eddie doesn't understand why Richie invited him to hangout with his very exclusive, popular group of friends but he enjoys it. The sudden closeness the two share quickly allows them to open up to one and other about abuse, sexuality, and all secrets in between.

It's 1992 and junior year is still fresh and new to the few kids in Derry High School. In which Eddie Kaspbrak is new to the theatre department, and Richie Tozier is eager to teach him his ways. ° "Truly wounded that it won't be me you'll be kissing tonight, Eds". "Shut the fuck up, asshole. You're being dramatic. It's just pretend, remember?". "Right. Eddie Kaspbrak is the finest of Derry High. Straight A student and the perfect example to everyone of the ideal person to be. Eddie has his whole life planned ahead of him. Specific moves that are intricately structured with the perfect opportunities to lead him to the top. Eddie is the fucking poster boy of perfection. But unfortunately, nobody is perfect. And when a certain someone threatens the spot on top that Eddie has reserved for himself, the ugly side of him unleashes, and things get... messy. Let's just say that Eddie Kaspbrak would do anything for his reputation. And that includes befriending a complete moron, despite it's challenges. And it's challenges... are a fucking lot. But he's willing to get his hands dirty for the deed. As they all say, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Or, alternatively: Eddie Kaspbrak is a know it all, and believes he has battled heroically through all the high school classes he needs to ace in order to succeed in life and to know what he's doing all throughout. And he does know what he's doing, for the most part, up until Richie Tozier comes along, and fucks everything up. Eddie has to soon realize that life isn't just dots and dashes and letters and numbers. People are people, and life is bigger than he's ever known before.
