A young boy is found floating in the middle of the ocean still breathing as he arrives in Auradon in a quest to find his adopted father. Along the way he meets the Vks and gets attracted to a certain purple hair beauty But how would they and the citizens of Auradon react to learning that his adopted father is The King of The Monsters himself Godzilla?

Kai and the Vks are back as they tried to adapt to Auradon life. When the pressure to be royally perfect gets to be too much for Mal, she returns to the Isle of the Lost. She discovers that Uma, the daughter of Ursula, has taken over as queen, and that her gang is finalizing plans to bring down the barrier and its up to Kai and the Vks to stop her but their are new threats emerging as Kai collides with the daughter of Mothra, the son of Rodan, and the son of his father's ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these children of ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's very existence hanging in the balance.

Mal and her friends face their biggest challenge yet when an unfathomable dark force threatens the people of Auradon. As Jambo the adopted son of Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home. Along for the ride is Jia, an orphaned girl who has a unique and powerful bond with the mighty feral chid. However, they soon find themselves in the path of Kai the son of Godzilla The initial confrontation between the two titan princes -- instigated by unseen forces -- is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the planet.

Happily-ever-after continues for Auradon's power couple, Mal and Kai, as they prepare to say "I do" at an epic celebration with their friends and family, but Hades threatens to ruin it all but Kai is soon reunited with Godzilla and prepares for battle with an extraterrestrial creature that was formed from his own particles in space.
