La passione per le corse, passione per l'amore e passione in generale, molto spesso non si possono accomunare, ma non si può dire lo stesso per Patrick. Dalla Porsche ad Ellen, per poi arrivare alla recitazione. Questo mix di situazioni lo rende irascibile e poco gentile, talvolta, ma sempre molto attraente. Una storia d'amore contrastato, una storia in cui la passione è la sola ed unica protagonista e, come spesso accade, talvolta, anche antagonista dei personaggi. Un'ambientazione in cui può accadere di tutto: Los Angeles, patria della recitazione e, molto spesso, degli scandali di personaggi famosi. Dal capitolo 3: «Ellie, scusami. Hai ragione, sono scosso, arrabbiato e irrequieto perché non voglio lasciarti qui. Vorrei fossi sempre con me. Perdonami» le aveva detto e lei si era alzata per andarlo ad abbracciare. «Ti perdono solo se mi dimostri che sei una persona migliore di questa, ma non dirle più quelle cose se non le pensi, mi feriscono» aveva sussurrato lei.

Storia ambientata tra Derek e Meredith, si rifà alla prima stagione di Grey's Anatomy. Siamo tutti rimasti al: «Ci vediamo, ehm...» e lui che le dice il suo nome, insomma, un inizio col botto. Ma se non fosse andata proprio così? Se lui non avesse mai avuto una moglie a casa, come invece si scopre alla fine della nona puntata? E se lui non fosse stato in quel bar quella sera?
