This is when Thomas aka Stiles comes back home after spending 3 years in the trials. Thomas is sad and depressed because before he and the other survivors were rescued, he had to kill Newt, he didn't want to but Newt begged him. It didn't take long for Minho to show up. Thomas is surprised to see him. Thomas and Mihno end up getting a letter for help.... and it's from Newt. At least Thomas hopes it's from Newt. They go on a mission to save their best friend. Thomas didn't know who these people were, and they can't blame him for not trusting easily. It scared him. In fact, it terrified him- all of them- that everything was so unknown. Sure, Thomas had a few flashbacks of working with Teresa at WICKED, but he knew nothing about his life before the corporation took over his life. But whoever these people were, that wanted to take Thomas back to his life before WICKED, he wasn't sure if he wanted to go back. So with that thought, the shouts of FBI agents reverberating down the tiled walls, and his fellow Gladers by his side, his conscience repeated the same three words Minho had beat into his brain after a few days in the Glade: Never stop running.

Newt runs away from his family in London and travels to America to get away from all his problems. He goes to a bar to distract himself and get a few drinks, but as soon as he enters. He's met with a very drunk American called Thomas. They hit it off together and decide to go back to Thomas's apartment to have a good night. The next morning when Thomas's heads off to school, his teacher introduces his class to a new boy. Thomas is shocked when his one night stand walks through the door. And now Newt and Thomas will have to face each other again.
