In a village where traditions are stronger than dreams, a girl's life is decided long before she is old enough to decide for herself.
Women are expected to remain within the walls of their homes. Girls are taught to obey, to cook, to care for their families, and to never question the men who make the rules.
But Paavni was never meant for a life like that.
Twenty years old, stubborn, fearless, and determined to complete the dream her late father left behind, Paavni wants to study, become independent, and give the girls of her village the freedom they have never been allowed to ask for.
Until one night changes everything.
Paavni becomes a victim of r@pe.
And the man accused of destroying her life is Satyajit -the elder son of the most powerful man in the village, the Sarpanch.
For the village, there is only one solution-
Marriage.
A girl who wanted to build her own life is forced into a marriage she never asked for.
Satyajit and Paavni are pushed into a relationship neither of them chose, surrounded by a family filled with secrets, a village ruled by traditions, and a past that refuses to stay buried.
But some marriages are not born from love.
Some begin with a wound.
And some stories are far more complicated than they appear.
This is their Ajeeb Dastaan.
