Valentina moved quietly through Stars Hollow-always writing, always watching, her little sister Lucy never far behind, skipping beside her like a second shadow. She knew every hidden corner of the town: the crack in the bookstore's window, the alley where she and Lucy played, the smell of Lorelai's coffee drifting through the square. Rory was more of a second sister than a best friend, always offering her books, gossiping and helping each other. Juliana Gilmore-Hayden, the forgotten sister, was raised for a year by her maternal grandparents before her father claimed custody of her, and along with his parents Francine and Straub, they raised her, loved her, did everything Lorelai should have done.
