- Where's the Trophy?
The University Week officially opened with a roar of drums, loudspeakers, and banners that barely held on against the wind. I wasn't supposed to care. But there I was, pressed against the court railings, watching the crowd scream one name again and again.
Erickson Draven Ferguson.
Number 12. Captain. Crowd favorite. The golden boy.
And just like that, the volleyball team claimed their first win-clean, confident, and loud. And guess who had to write the article for it?
Me.

"Where's the Trophy?"
by Chevelle Dominique Sarmonte
"The game was over before it even started-or at least, that's what it looked like for Erickson Ferguson, who barely broke a sweat as he led his team to victory on Day One of the University Week Volleyball League. With each calculated spike and perfectly timed serve, Ferguson made one thing clear: this isn't just a game. It's a hunt. But while the crowd cheered for another win, I kept asking myself the same thing-where's the trophy he's really after?"
