Everyone warned her he was emotionless, that no one could ever touch him. But Lin Yu believed love could melt even the coldest heart. When Chen Yichen's grandfather took a liking to her and suggested marriage, Yichen agreed-but only on his own cruel terms: "If you marry me, don't ask for love. Don't expect warmth. You'll get my name, nothing more." Lin Yu accepted, hoping that time would change him. Two years of marriage, countless silent dinners, and endless nights alone-yet Chen Yichen's heart never softened. When Lin Yu finally saw him being gentle with another woman, she smiled bitterly and said, "Let's divorce." But will Lin Yu still be waiting for him, or has her heart already turned to ice?

I used to think we were the definition of couple goals. You know-the annoying kind that finish each other's sentences, post mushy anniversary captions, and make single people gag. Yeah, that was us. My husband, the love of my life. My partner. My soulmate. My... lying, cheating bastard. I walked in one night, still humming the song he sent me that morning, and found him busy. And by busy, I mean balls-deep in someone who clearly didn't know her right foundation shade. I broke. Cried till I couldn't breathe. Because that was my man, my home, my whole damn world falling apart on our Egyptian cotton sheets. But then I wiped my tears, looked at him-pathetic, naked, stammering-and realized something beautiful: heartbreak makes you dangerous. He begged. Oh, he sobbed. Promised me the world, said it meant nothing, said I was everything. So I smiled and said, prove it. And he did. Bought me cars, jewelry, houses-signed every last property in my name. My name, not ours. I let him grovel, let him believe forgiveness was for sale, and every time he kissed my feet, I made him dig his grave a little deeper. Love made me soft. Betrayal made me rich. And when I finally walked out, I didn't even slam the door. I just left him there-kneeling in the ruins of everything he thought he owned.

We weren't in love. We were an inferno-ruthless, consuming, the kind of fire that left nothing but smoke and scars. Vikram was my first kiss, my first time, my first taste of forever. And he was the first boy who ever made me fear the way love could bruise. One look in his eyes and I saw my father's madness staring back at me. So I did the only thing I could-I ripped us apart before he could ruin me too. But Vikram never let me walk away clean. He made sure I bled for it. He fucked his way through half the class, made me watch him turn cruel, made me choke on the ashes of what we used to be. He made me watch him become everything I hated. And still, I loved him like a fool. Still, I gave him one rule-don't touch her. The girl who made my life a living hell. The one betrayal that would cut me deeper than all the rest. And he did it anyway. That was the day I buried whatever soft, stupid love I had left for him. That was the day I decided Vikram Chauhan could burn alone. Now he's back in my life. Older. Colder. Dangerous in ways even he wasn't before. And he's looking at me like I'm still his, like the years and the ruin mean nothing. But he doesn't get to set me on fire twice. Too bad, Vikram. This time, it's not happening.

Alessia had rules. She didn't do drama, didn't take nonsense from any man. Until him. For Cassian, she broke every one. A cliché, impossible mother in law? She handled it. Missed dinners because of work? She served herself double and waited anyway. Too tired to spend time together? She embraced the quiet hours alone. She forgot her limits, abandoned her rules. All for him. Until her. The one rule she couldn't break, the limit she couldn't cross. She saw him with her. Broken, she left and whispered a wish she never thought would come true: that she had never met him. The wish was granted. Alessia woke up and didn't remember him. But now Cassian is the one waiting. Running against time to be near her. Chasing every moment, following every rule, just so she might remember him again. And if she can't... Can he remember it all for both of them? © IcecreamSundae5.
