Ling finally tried committing to something other than her career, the gym routine and a rotating roster of flings. She proposed. Her girlfriend laughed. Apparently, Ling's "I'm not a relationship person" reputation is harder to shake than she thought. Especially when her *actual* longest relationship is with her best friend, Orm, and the tiny child who bosses her around and claims "she's ours." Originally posted on my AO3 account. --- The usual disclaimer: The characters are obviously inspired by LingOrm, and there might be references to real-life events, but the story is purely fictional. English is not my first language, so my apologies for any potential mistakes. If you want to say hi, I'm on X: @yjkr94_LO Peace and Love, JKRs :)

Stardom, secrets, and second chances collide in the wings of the stage. The cameras are rolling, the lights are hot, and every stolen glance threatens to shatter the illusions they've worked so hard to maintain. The show must go on, but when the heart takes center stage... will love dare to claim the final scene?

Orm, the meticulous accountant, and Lingling, the sharp-eyed estimator. For four long years, they had worked under the same roof, their paths only crossing in fleeting moments-an occasional glance in the hallway, a name mentioned in passing. Yet, as if guided by a string of coincidences, fate had finally woven them into the same project. Two souls who had spent years orbiting each other, now drawn together, bound by numbers and budgets, and perhaps... something more.

She thought she was dying. She dreamed of love. But what if the girl she fell for... was real all along? After a terrible accident leaves Orm in a coma, her soul begins drifting - not into the afterlife, but into Ling's apartment. Ling, a quiet illustrator still mourning her own losses, thinks she's losing her mind when a sarcastic, beautiful "ghost" starts appearing in her kitchen. Over cups of invisible tea and rooftop confessions, they fall into a strange, beautiful rhythm... and slowly, into love. But Ling doesn't know Orm is still alive. And Orm doesn't know she was never just a dream. This is a story about two souls that find each other in the in-between. About memory, second chances, and the kind of love that refuses to let go - even when the world does.

In a world ruled by legacy, two women are forced into a marriage neither of them wanted... but fate might have other plans. Orm Kornnaphat is a spoiled heiress - fiery, dramatic, and used to getting her way. She's the rebellious daughter of a powerful food export empire, more interested in stuffed toys and late mornings than boardrooms and responsibilities. When her family forces her into an arranged marriage, she's furious - especially when her bride turns out to be the mysterious stranger who once helped her on a night she can't even remember. Lingling Kwong is the definition of composed. Cold, calculating, and beautiful, she's the only child of the Kwong business dynasty and a boss feared by everyone - but apparently not including her new wife. For Ling, obedience is survival. She's always done what's expected of her, even if it means marrying a bratty stranger for the sake of business and family pride. Thrown into a high-profile marriage neither of them asked for, Orm and Lingling become unwilling partners in a game far bigger than themselves. From chaotic mornings to silent car rides, office wars to stuffed toys invading private spaces - they're learning that hatred, annoyance, and sarcasm might just blur into something else when you're stuck in the same home, same office... and the same destiny. Love isn't part of the plan. But fate? Fate doesn't care what they planned.
