The guild is being as rowdy as ever, the boys throwing chairs at each other as Erza tries to get them all to settle down. Except that Lucy can't seem to find Natsu. "Mira..." Lucy mumbles as she takes a seat at the bar, her eyes still searching for her partner. "Hm?" She asks, placing down the cup that she was cleaning. "Where's Natsu?" Mira's posture suddenly shifts, she leans over closer to Lucy, grabbing the edge of the counter. "Lucy..." She warns. "You have to stay away from Natsu. Just for a little while..." "Eh? Nani?" "Natsu isn't quite right for now. He'll be fine, but you have to stay at home for a few days." "Mira... What are you talking about?" She asks, confused. "I don't expect you to understand. You just have to trust me." "But it's his birthday this weekend... I made special plans to celebrate. Knowing Natsu, being sick won't stop him from hanging out and going to a buffet." She giggles. "He's too sick, Lucy. It's better for you both if you stay away from him for the time being. Just go home and rest, he'll be fine in a couple of days." Mira tells her, grabbing her arm and leading her to the door. "Eh? But Mira-" "Go Lucy." She pushes her out of the guild doors. "What has that Baka done now?" She mumbles, heading back home. It's the mating season of the Dragon Slayers. They're all looking for their mates. Everyone is finding their mate on their first day. Everyone but Natsu. He hesitates and worries because he can't find her yet. Lisanna is convinced that she's Natsu's mate and sets out to seduce him. Natsu, on the other hand, refuses her. Natsu knows she isn't his mate or he would have mated with her already. Lucy was warned of this but doubted that she wasn't his mate. But right after Lucy comes back from a 3-day-long job. Natsu can't help feeling attracted to the blond... I don't own the characters just the story. Hope you enjoy it and there will be mature scenes but nothing too intense! This will be a short story! This is my take on the ever popular mating season prompt. Not the most original but who does like a good mating season? Natsu goes from normal to lovey dovey to crazed. Let's see how it goes shall we?
