Everyone knows what happened to Jack Merridew in William Goulding's novel "Lord of the Flies," but what happened before that? What was his life like before the island? How did he become the "chapter chorister and head boy" that he is in the novel? This is the story of Jack's life before the island -- how he made the choir, when he became head boy, and everything in between -- and after the island. Because the question is, who was the real Jack Merridew? This is for everyone that wanted to know what happened on the boat, following the Navy officer rescuing the boys. Obviously this is just what I would imagine happening, and basically just offering closure on the book itself, and the initial aftermath. All characters owned by William Golding.
