Especially after the letter her farmer girl sent her. So she packs up with Emily and leaves for the city to tell her how she feels. Is it too late? Haley thinks highly of herself and doesn't take kindly to people hurting the people she cared for. That includes the local farmer that she befriended. she doesn't know how to handle when he passes and his granddaughter, that abandoned him, shows up trying to take his place in the community.
