Riku, at 5 years old, never questioned it. To him, his parents always smiling, always strong and the theatre was nothing more than a place where the mother and father could sing and dance. He didn't notice the careful way they hid their sighs, or how their smile stretched just a little too long. Protected from worry, Riku's world remained simple and bright. But Tenn noticed, thought the same age, he was sharper, more watchful. He caught the flicker of tiredness in their eyes, the soft way they looked at Riku at though he were the most fragile treasure in the world. Their struggles were hidden from Riku, not because they wanted to lie but because even the smallest stress could endanger his weak body. Yet no matter what weight they carried, one things was certain, their parents loved their precious twins more dearly than anything else. Every performance, every smile, every late night was for them-for Riku's fragile health, and for Tenn's steady future and even if Riku was too young to see it, Tenn understood.
