Ocean shoved at his chest, but Lucas didn't budge. He stayed right there, crowding her.
"Move," she snapped, heat in her voice.
He didn't. His presence pressed against her, every breath of his filling the little space she had left.
Her hands curled tight at her sides. "You don't give me a second. You're always there-hovering, watching, smothering me like I can't breathe without you in my face."
Lucas's jaw ticked, eyes hard, but he said nothing. The silence made her angrier.
Her chest rose sharp with breath. "I hate it. I hate how you don't let me think, don't let me move. You just close in and wait for me to break."
Still, he stayed. And that-more than any words-set her blood boiling.
