Jungwon, a quiet and withdrawn high school student, moves to a small seaside village after the loss of his parents. He spends his days sitting by the ocean, lost in thought until he meets Jay, a slightly older aspiring musician who's known in village for writing songs. The two form a quiet friendship, sharing silent mornings and fleeting conversations. Jay finds himself drawn to Jungwon's calm presence, while Jungwon starts to look forward to the warmth Jay brings into his otherwise muted world. But just as their bond deepens, Jungwon leaves without a word. Three years later, Jungwon returns, more mature, quieter, but with his feelings still intact. Jay, however, is no longer the same person. Burdened by the loneliness of being left behind and the memories of a love that never got the chance to bloom, he now keeps Jungwon at arm's length. Can two people who once found comfort in each other's silence find their way back through the noise of regret, fear, and unspoken words?

It was 12:43 AM. Jay had his hoodie pulled over his head, hood tied so tightly around his face he looked like a marshmallow with a grudge. He tiptoed into the kitchen like a thief, trying not to wake the rest of the dorm. But of course, the second he opened the cabinet- CLANG. "Jesus," Jay whispered, freezing in place. "Why is the pot so dramatic?" "Because it's mad at you for trying to cook at this hour." Jay nearly jumped out of his skin. He turned around to find Jungwon sitting on the counter, legs swinging, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "You scared the life out of me," Jay muttered, holding his chest. "What are you doing up?" "Couldn't sleep," Jungwon shrugged. "Thought I heard someone breaking in, so I came to catch the intruder." Jay raised an eyebrow. "With what? Your intimidating stare?" Jungwon smirked. "Worked on you, didn't it?"

Jungwon didn't scream when they took him. He knew what this was. His father's sins always had a price-and he'd been waiting his whole life to become one of them. So when he wakes up handcuffed in a stranger's basement, he doesn't ask why. He already knows no one's coming to save him. Not even his own father. Park Jay is the man behind the silence. A name laced with fear in the criminal world. Cold. Calculated. Unflinching. He didn't take the boy for pleasure or pain-but for strategy. Jungwon is leverage, a crack in his enemy's armor. Nothing more. But Jungwon doesn't behave like a hostage. He doesn't flinch, doesn't fight. He meets Jay's gaze with unsettling calm, a quiet challenge beneath every breath. Jay expected resistance. What he didn't expect was to start looking forward to the boy's silence. The way it lingers. The way it says more than fear ever could. As the walls close in and the war outside rages on, something fragile begins to form between captor and captive-not trust, not affection, but something unspoken. Something neither of them can afford. What grows between them was never supposed to happen. Because no one would ever even come for boys like him. And if they would, it would be too late.

He was never meant to be part of Jay's story. Jungwon burned too bright for a world built on shadows. A starboy worshiped by cameras carried on waves of rhythm-golden and untouchable in the spotlight. The kind of light the world chases. The kind Jay was trained to erase. Park Jay. Silent. Calculated. Dangerous. A ghost in human skin. A name whispered only in fear. A man who ends stories before they begin. When a ruthless rival company orders Jungwon's erasure- not just from the stage, but from every memory- Jay is sent in, cloaked in calm, wearing the mask of a manager. Close. Controlled. Cold. He thought it would be simple. Stars fall all the time. All he had to do was guide this one into the dark. But Jungwon isn't just light. He's laughter echoing down empty hallways. He's reckless late-night rehearsals and spontaneous smiles that shouldn't exist. He's curiosity where there should be distance. And worst of all-he sees through Jay's silence. He looks at him like he already knows. Now, the mission blurs. The lines tangle. And Jay-who's never failed-finds himself doing the impossible. He hesitates. Because this isn't just a job anymore. It's an interlude. A pause. A breath. A boy who shouldn't matter- but somehow, does. And Jay can't look away. Not from the way Jungwon dances. Not from the way he shines. Not even when he's supposed to pull the trigger.
