Eli gasped dramatically. "Okay, that earns you like, three boyfriend points."
Ryan raised a brow, amused. "Is there a scale?"
"There's always a scale." Eli took a sandwich, unwrapping it. "You're at, uh, seven points total now."
"Seven out of...?"
Eli pretended to think. "Let's say fifty."
Ryan scoffed. "Fifty? Harsh grading."
"Earn the rest," Eli said, smirking before taking a bite.

Eli never meant to fall for the captain of the basketball team. He just wanted to get through senior year quietly, taking photos for the yearbook and avoiding human interaction whenever possible. But when he's assigned to cover the basketball team-meaning taking photos and interviewing players-his life turns into a blur of camera flashes, flying basketballs, and one very annoyingly perfect captain.
Ryan Calloway has it all-charm, talent, and the whole school wrapped around his finger. Being the pastor's kid comes with expectations, though... and none of them include falling for the beautiful boy behind the lens.
But Eli's smart mouth is addictive. His dimple is distracting. And soon, Ryan's double life starts getting harder to balance-especially when every stolen glance feels like a confession waiting to happen.
Between clumsy interviews, accidental almost-kisses, and late-night games that turn into something softer, Eli and Ryan find themselves caught in the one thing neither of them saw coming.
Love.
And maybe, just maybe-it's worth smiling for.
