Hiccup was five years old when he was snatched up by a Night Fury in a raid and was never seen again. 15 years later, Berk is on another hunt for the nest, but things go wrong when a storm hits and the Chief, his wife and Gobber are stranded in an icy wasteland. While searching for shelter they're ambushed by dragons and taken to a mysterious place where they find someone who they never thought they'd see again.

Hiccup Haddock III was sick and tired of his life. He was tired of getting pitied glances everywhere he went. He was sick of overhearing conversations about how ashamed his father must feel of him. But all that changed when he was given the privilege to kill a Monstrous Nightmare. He couldn't kill it, though. He wouldn't. He couldn't betray his only friend. The one being that didn't judge him. So he ran away. Ran away from his family and his home. Everyone thought he was dead, but when a mysterious dragon rider comes back to Berk with news, the visit doesn't go very well. The Berkians are Vikings; it's in their nature to be stubborn and they don't take too kindly to strange masked visitors that ride Night Furies. Things only go downhill from there and everything Hiccup thought was stable in his life turns out to be everything but that. _~~~__~~~__~~~__~~~__~~~__ I DO NOT OWN THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK. Typical run away story.

Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. When a surprise trip overseas and an unfortunate turn of events allows the Berkians to find an odd nest in the middle of nowhere, they may prove that the lost heir to Berk isn't as dead as everyone thinks. //story takes a turn for the worse like halfway through bc i stopped editing it. also i wrote it when i was like 11-12

Hiccup left Berk meaning to never come back. He left of fear, of love for his only friend in the world. But Fate has a cruel sense of humor, and soon Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III will be thrown head on to face his past. But the question stands. Will he face his demons of old? Will he help his old family or leave them to the wolves? And what will happen when his life is turned upside down...

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the son of the chief of Berk Stoick the vast. He was considered the runt, weakling.... failure of the village. But when the village finds out that Hiccup had befriended a dragon... a beast... they took matters into their own hands and gave him a punishment, one that they all would regret when it was uplifted but one that changed him for the best.

The darkness suffocates me. I can't see anything, and I don't remember anything either. I just remember falling. Falling. And now I'm here. An unbearable pain sprints up my right leg and I scream in agony before I start falling once again. Falling back into the darkness. ------------------------------------------------------------ Being chief, Hiccup Haddock rarely gets time to himself. So when the village allows him to take the day off, he happily agrees. He takes to the skies with his night fury, Toothless, meanwhile ignoring Astrid's warnings about the distant storm clouds, a mistake he will later regret. A horrible series of events sends Hiccup and Toothless to a foreign land with no way to get home. The pair find themselves completely lost.

Hiccup has been chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare. He knows he can't without losing the trust of his best friend. So he decides the only thing he can do is leave, so he does. ***This story is under construction. I'm adding in the parts from after he leaves until five years later. This will take time. I'm also going to be editing the chapters, the top will say *Edited* if I have done so already.***

Hiccup is abused in this village that everyone calls Berk. He's solution is to run away from the village on a befriended Night Fury. What happens next only you will know.
