Dan is a patient in a mental hospital. He doesn't understand why he is there and doesn't remember any of the events that he has done. His everyday boring life in the hospital changes when a new patient comes in.

Dan Howell takes up a opportunity to travel halfway across the world to be an exchange student. Phil Lester is appalled when his parents decide to tackle the challenge of housing an exchange student to 'straighten him out' from his aggressive teenager ways.

"But I'm straight." Those three words are the words that take Phil over the edge. Like his world is crashing down on him. What's up with his constant flirting and his cheeky smiles and lovey dovey eyes. Not only as a friend, but he has a lot of feelings for Dan. Dan has a girlfriend though, sadly, a girl he fell in love with and wants to live with forever. She starts to act strangely though, as they both come to find you can't judge a book by its cover ~~ if you at least try to read this, I declare you sexy :)

So she is quickly admitted to Gamefield Asylum, in which she spends three years rotting away.. Until a friend finds her, with some quite alarming news.. That Ryan Terri is alive. And controlled.

Phil doesn't have a best friend in his life. That is, until Dan turns up at his school. They become close and Phil finds out that Dan has a twin brother, but hates to talk about him. It's not until Phil comes over to Dan's house that he finds out why.
