Unfortunately for Gumball, a new corrupting bad guy named Dark Gumball, who was created by the tinfoil helmet and whatever was around in the dump, starts a brilliant plan that will destroy his (Gumball's) life, with the help of past villains Zach and Jealousy Gumball. This puts the blue cat, his friends, and his family in turmoil, since the villains are already succeeding in controlling him deep within his mind, nobody able to really help battle it. Gumball struggles to gain back control, much to his dismay. Will he end this whole nightmare, and win against these bad guys? Or.. Is it the end for himself?.. An unidentified amount of time after Gumball Watterson encouraged Penny Fitzgerald to break out of her shell and be herself, a new threat has emerged from the world of infinite static with the intention of capturing the one fairy who exposed herself to the world. This sends the two of them on the run from not only Rob, but a new enemy like none the town has ever seen before (even by Elmore's standards). With the entirety of Elmore, and possibly the world, at stake, the two lovebirds are indirectly sent on a journey both physically and emotionally. Gumball is now introduced to the darker side of the fairy's emotions and her feelings about herself and her powers.
