But when she becomes the target of an Imperial bounty, she quickly discovers that peace isn't so easy to come by. Eve must create new allies from enemies and strangers to survive, and to protect her newborn.

When the pair notice an escape pod leaving a ship the Destroyer is after, they decide to check if the occupants need assistance, despite Edmond's hesitance. The two droids inside end up wrapping the pair into a plot the older man desperately wished to avoid, while his daughter eagerly takes the opportunity to help.

His loyalty is truly tested when he finds himself waking up on an unknown planet after his ship crashed. Alone and injured, Damien is an easy target for the First Order to find and take into custody. While imprisoned, he learns about a First Order operation to mine Kyber Crystals. Knowing he and Rey need new Jedi weapons, he keeps it in mind to head there later. Just as soon as he can escape the First Order's grasp. It was, with hauling dangerous creatures across space and all, but not in the way he expected. But hey, the pair along with Chewbacca stayed away from the First Order, which is all Damien could have asked for. He should have expected the galaxy to wrap him into the commotion much sooner, yet the old pilot's reunion with his beloved ship came with the dreaded confrontation with the tyrannical Order Damien was trying to avoid. Now, he must stand strong as his past begins to unravel, and every step he takes potentially leading to meeting old allies he wished were long dead. Oc x Rey
