تتحدث الرواية عن كاتبة روايات رعب "ماريانا" بعد ان تعيش حياتها كمؤلفة ناجحة ذات صيت حتى يأتي ذات يوم يتم اختطاف ماريانا من قبل شخص ملقب بالشيطان ! بعد ان قتل الكثير من كاتبين روايات الرعب بدون ان يجدو لهم اي جثث لذلك تقول الاقوال بان الشيطان يأكل المؤلفين الذين لم تعجبه قصصهم !

أربعة أصدقاء يدخلون مستشفى مهجور للبحث عن حريق حدث قبل 15 سنه تسبب في مقتل 70 شخص لكن المستشفى لم يغلق بسبب الحريق بل لانه أصبح فخا للارواح العالقه والطقوس الشيطانيه التي لم تكتمل واللعنه ما زالت موجوده وكل من يدخل يجبر على إنهاء الطقوس أو يصبح ضحية جديده. الكاتبه غنى سيف القضاه.
