Kori Winston, twenty two year old, with a hard life. She lives with her two year old daughter, Emilia, and her best friend Ashton Tanner. Ashton works weekends and some night shifts, while Kori works all week, and spends her weekends with her daughter. Of course, Ashton does help her with Emilia, by babysitting her while Kori worked. She works as a waitress in a local cafe, and sometimes works night shifts at a bar near her work. One night, as she's pumping gas into her old car, which was actually in great condition, gun shots started to ring out. Living in Detroit, the sound of gun shots were normal. Though, this time it was very very different. She saw the little girl pumping gas by a black SUV, right before the gun shots rang out. Going into straight Mommy Mode, she ran over and covered the girl's body, as the gun shots rang out and minutes later stopped with the sound of skidding tires. The little girl held on to Kori for dear life, not knowing if she was safe or not from the gun shots. Who was the little girl? Who was the father? The big twist in all of this was the little girl's father. He had been inside of the gas station, but came running out when he heard the gun shots. He quickly sprinted to his truck, knowing his little girl was outside, but stopped abruptly in his tracks. He seen a woman, a very beautiful woman, standing with his daughter. The year is currently 2003 and The Source Magazine has just unveiled an Eminem racist tape, a song where he can clearly be heard rapping disrespectfully about black women. Eminem goes on national TV and apologizes, stating that the song in question was made back in 1989 when he was only 16 years old and was in response to him dating a black girl that had cheated on him and broke his heart. Eminem's PR team thinks that him merely apologizing is not enough to salvage his public image, so Paul Rosenberg gets a bright idea to locate Nikki, the girl whom the song was supposedly about and publicly reunite her with his client, and have Nikki say that she understands where Em was coming from and that she forgives him. Nikki however has other plans. All she really wants is to set the record straight once and for all...
