Amy's dream is to make it as a journalist, but her real life is very different. She struggles to pay her bills, her boss hates her, and the various odd jobs she takes on the side are only adding to the chaos. Then one day a punk rock fairy appears and offers her all the professional success she could ever want in exchange for a bad sex life. Tired of the same old steamy romance tropes? You've come to the right place. You'll find a common sex curse, intriguing journalism, and sassy fairies interfering in our world. And yes, someone will fall in love with a fairy. The Setting: Amy lives in Springville, a Canadian border town known by its American neighbors for its hot summers and unusually mild climate. Some call the area "Canafornia". New chapters appear suddenly. Your comments not only mean the world, but help to shape it. Winner of the "Best Ongoin" category in the Birthday Bash Mini Awards by Ravendipity. Three hopelessly unqualified princes (Lucian the dreamer, Nedrick the pig farmer, and Alistair the runaway) accidentally rescue Runklebean; a depowered cosmic being exiled from his realm. Now, armed only with inherited trauma and the competence of a wooden spoon, they must restore Runklebean's powers through a gauntlet of haunted spas, melodramatic villains, and hallucinogenic caves in exchange for three destiny-altering wishes. --- Long Description: Meet three wildly unqualified princes: Lucian, searching for greatness; Nedrick, who runs a pig farm; and Alistair, currently on the run from his evil stepfather. When instead of a princess they accidentally rescue Runklebean--a reality-altering cosmic entity who's been depowered and mysteriously exiled from his realm--the four of them are thrust into a chaotic quest to restore Runklebean's powers in exchange for three wishes. Armed with inherited trauma and the combined competency of a wooden spoon, Lucian, Alistair, Nedrick, and Runklebean must bumble through caves filled with hallucinogens, battle melodramatic villains, survive haunted spas, beat a petty witch in a pageant, and confront their own destinies. "Mulberry Veils and Crooked Trails" is a semi-modern fantasy comedy where almost everything is sentient, the laws of physics are mostly rumours, and quests rarely go according to plot. --- A/N: NOT BL. NOT SMUTTY. NO JUICY LEMONS or whatever the heck. Not knocking the genre or people that enjoy stuff like it. Just clarifying that this thing ain't that, yo. So yeah, let's gather around, share a chuckle or two, and just have a good time!ヾ(*' ∇ ')ノ UPDATES EVERY WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY ໒(⊙ᴗ⊙)७✎▤

Humor Me #26 Prompt (Winner) Dedicated to: @Humor Goldie was just trying to survive adulthood with her dying succulents, overused alarm ringtone, and caffeine addiction-when one morning, her world completely flips: her cat and dog start talking. Like, full-on sass, sarcasm, and surprisingly deep emotional baggage. Now Goldie's stuck in a never-ending sitcom featuring daily trauma dumps, family meetings about her ringtone, and lectures on why the dry food is "giving cardboard with trust issues." Between Lucky's influencer drama, Happy's emotional spiral, and Goldie's growing suspicion she's either dreaming or slowly losing her mind, one thing's clear: She may be the human in the house... but she is not the main character. FUR real, she needs a break!

No, this story isn't about a nerd falling in love with a bad boy who's made her high school life hell for years. This is the story of an AroAce nerd who conveniently fits the stereotypes. A+ grades, glasses, books, and the most despicable of all, pimples. Eliza Avellins has it all. But instead of being the damsel in distress, she is her own knight in shining armor. Instead of late-night chats, she finds herself crying under the moon because the author killed her favorite side character. Instead of playing mind games with the school's big shot, she'd rather turn around and leave without a word. All she ever cares about is money, books, and grades. So much so that she would willingly challenge even fate itself if it begs to believe otherwise. Magnificent book cover and banner by @bookishnxrd. CURRENT STATUS: REWRITING

Okay. So, let's all just agree that some stories can be pretty cliché, right. I mean - do you wanna tell me you never been reading a story and thought "yo, what the hell, that makes no sense, people don't act like that in real life, what's up with the cliché thing, damn."? Yeah, it's that feeling we're going against here. So this THING, whatever it is, will feature all your good ol' clichés, but from an aromantics point of view. Or just call it a parody or something, I dunno. You do you. Nice talking to ya. Same time next week?
