A childhood promise beneath Erebor's golden lamps. A betrayal on the day the sky burned. A loved buried under decades of grief. Aeloria walked away from everything she knew hours before Smaug attacked, carrying the sting of hidden of hidden parentage and a heart broken by those she called father. Gandalf found her later, saved her, and years after asked only one favor: keep a hobbit safe on a vague, dangerous road. She never imagined the road would lead straight back to Thorin. Now, traveling unseen alongside the Company with her star-eyed companions - ghostly guardians glimpsed only as distant blue lights and fleeting shadows - Aeloria watches over Bilbo from afar. The Dwarves whisper of legends come alive, unnerved by eyes in the dark, while Bilbo alone senses the quiet protection wrapped around him. As love and resentment slowly collide across the miles, one truth remains: some lights are meant to burn out saving others. A/N Thoughts will be in plain italics.... A little background before starting this story. Y/N is 114, and the best baker and choclatier Erebor has even had the blessings to see. You were friends with the Durins and had quite the reputation as a dancer at celebrations. But you were hopelessly in love with the captain of the guard Dwalin Fudinson, this is the tale of how his sweet tooth and your sweet confections came together. Amad always said, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach, the sweeter the tooth the bigger the heart!" Warning- fights and strong language depicted in this tale. Enough of my ramblings and i hope you enjoy!

The Hobbit Fanfiction Bofur x OC It was hard to imagine Bofur taking anything seriously. He was the optimistic one of the Company, the one always joking around, the one singing and dancing on tables to lighten the mood. That was why no one noticed his change of character when he met the joyful Periwinkle, the only female member in the Company. He went out of his way to make her smile and laugh, and no one found that out of the ordinary since, well, it was Bofur. And while he was keeping his joyful composure, there was a sliver of fear and grief that the lass would not return his feelings, since who would ever fall for an ordinary dwarf?

~ The sequel to "Daughter of Beorn" has been released! Check it out! It's called "The Skin-Changer Prophecy." ~ Gandalf looked down at the small child partially hidden behind the skin-changer's legs. Her green eyes sparkled as she tossed a small pebble at the stranger's feet before giggling. The mischevious little one then toddled off a bit to chase a butterfly that had caught her attention. "She cannot stay here." Beorn said. "It is unsafe for a child. I do not want her to... be exposed. To my other form." "You seem to forget that she is your daughter." The wizard replied, shifting as a small breeze came through the forest. "And I am not trained in the art of raising children." The two men momentarily turned their gazes back to young Kyja, who was too occupied following the winged insect. Compassion soon struck the wizard's heart. "Yet... there is someone that could care for her. He is an odd fellow, relates more to animals than any other living creature- but he is genuinely kind, and will be able to assist Kyja in the following years. Radagast the Brown is his name." And so, the journey begins. Far into adulthood, Kyja is introduced to a completely new world when Gandalf proposes an offer- to join a band of dwarves to help them save their homeland. Haunted by past memories and scars, the skin-changer is forced to come to terms with her own history while accepting the new fate she has been given. Humility, love, and sacrifice are only some of the lessons learned in: Daughter of Beorn. ~ All ideas, concepts, and plot lines pertaining to The Hobbit all belong to J.R.R. Tolkien. Nevertheless, the creation of Kyja and any additional characters not in the original piece are mine. The cover photo is not mine. ~
