Alera lost her mother early in life and was raised by a strict king for a father and the many nursemaids who crossed themselves before touching her. It wasn't until she was of marrying age that she learned why the people feared her. She was canny... like her forest mother. Canny and feared to be fae. The only person besides her father who didn't seem to fear her was the handsome stable boy. He knew what she was and didn't cross himself before letting his hands touch hers longer than needed for helping her to her mount. And on her 18th birthday, neither could deny the bond that dragged them together. But her father had her sold off to make an advantageous match with the neighboring king's sullen and cruel son. Even a kingdom over, the whispers of the canny princess the people feared as fae reached royal ears. But they thought to use her to their advantage...to put fear in their own people's hearts and make them bend the knee. Now with the kingdom at war with the prince she would have married, Alera must save the people who feared her from an unspeakable fate brought to their door by the sullen prince wielding a dark unknown power. -------------------- Cover by Tina Glasneck ©2022 M.Dalto Published to Wattpad 06.01.2022 Completed 03/30/2023

A man's name is important and Salip Pulaco has more than one. He's been called a pirate, a savage, a fool, and sometimes a hero, but a changed man? Now, that one is still up for debate... Feared by his enemies and loved by his people, Pulaco must find away to protect not only his family, but also his own chiefdom as his enemies descend towards him- enemies that range from an ambitious rival datu, a fleet of Conquistadores with enough fire power to burn down his village, an arrogant and spiteful princeling, an undeserving Regent, and many more. While his allies include a mysterious headhunter, a hot-head brother-in-law and a mixed-bag of warriors. This is a story of one's Identity, one's Legacy, one's hunger for Glory, one's longing for Peace and one's dream to live Free. A fantastical retelling of a Filipino classic with a dash of magic and a whole lot of blood set in Pre-Colonial Philippines. From the beginning when God created man and woman on earth, he too created angels to protect them. All angels were given a task equally, but it was never been predicted that there would be an uprising, leading to the downfall of some angels. Years and years of guidance from God did nothing to destroy the darkness and when he thought he found it, his hopes were crushed again. Now God banished an angel once again due to killing. This angel was one of God's favorites and to see the angel's despair broke God's Heart. The angel became known as the Angel of Death for he committed a lot of people's death since he came down to hell. The Angel of Death was slowly being consumed by the dark side and to avoid it from happening God created another part of the angel in secrecy. She who bears his mark has a destiny to either destroy or saved everything.
