How exactly did Pearl meet Batchi? It seemed unlikely that they were in the same group of friends or associates so this is my take at what connection was formed before the events of Episode 1. Years before Jade returned from London and before Pearl and Gabriel became engaged, the events following Batchi and Sally would unknowingly be the chain that would connect Jade and Althea's lives.
