The story background is set in Jacksonville, a post-apocalyptic town from the series The Last of Us, where the paths of Dina and Ellie cross, forging them together on an unknown path. Dina, an orphan with her older sister, was brought to Jacksonville by the leader, Maria, who had found them lost in the wilderness five years earlier. Ellie was discovered by Joel, a deadly smuggler, 2 years ago, who had been held in a Firefly facility since she was 4 years old, when her mother separated her from her family to find a cure. Ellie comes from a world of uncertainty, secrecy, and quiet rage, with secrets of her own: her biological sex and her immunity, which, unbeknownst to her, comes from a family she's never known, whose bloodline holds the key to humanity. Unknown to Ellie, she is the abducted daughter of a feared paramilitary leader, Sasha Moreux, who is currently on a quest to restore order to the world by uniting all living beings and destroying those who oppose her and the infected. This story will bring Ellie and Dina together for the first time, through raw violence, pain and emotion, both navigating this world together, only to finally give in to each other.
