"DON'T GET CAUGHT. DON'T GET CAUGHT. DON'T. FUCKING. GET. CAUGHT." She chanted these words repeatedly, displaying reasons and visualising the aftermath of getting caught. You'll be bonded. Restrained. Confined. With no freedom over yourself. Praying to the only goddess she knew she ran as fast as she could. Her mind repeatedly envisioned the things she could've done if she was normal like any another. But she wasn't. Out of a sudden, an authoritative force knocked her down. In a flash, her struggles, her efforts and her future took the fall with her. Her jaw clenched, rage crippling into millions fragments beneath her skin. Her brain a maze of thoughts and fury. She was caught.

"P-p-please.." My voice was a jagged, stuttering mess. I frantically clawed at the basement floor, trying to scramble backward, but my limbs were shaking too violently to find traction. Tears cut through the dirt on my face as I stared up at his towering silhouette. "I-I-I'm sorry... I-I p-promise, ! D-don't do this, p-p-please!" Adrien stood completely unhurried, his sapphire eyes dead and hollow. His violence wasn't a fit of rage; it was a cold, calculated execution. He stepped forward, pinning my left leg flat against the concrete with his crushing weight, and brought a solid iron rod down directly onto my kneecap. Crack. An explosive, white-hot agony shattered my mind. I let out a blood-curdling shriek that bounced violently off the walls, my entire body convulsing. "A-A-Adrien! S-st-stop! I-I'm b-begging you!" I screamed, sobbing so hard I choked. Without a word, he lifted the rod again and shattered my right kneecap. I collapsed onto the freezing floor, my teeth clicking violently from the absolute shock. Before I could pass out, Adrien knelt over my trembling form. He shattered a thick sheet of glass against the table, holding a razor-sharp shard in his gloved hand. "You forgot whose name you carry, my dear," he whispered softly. "Let's make sure you remember." He pressed the jagged glass deep into the bare skin of my shoulder blade. I shrieked, my body locking into a rigid line as he began to deliberately engrave his name into my flesh. TRIGGER WARNING‼️‼️ This book is not ordinary dark romance novel . He held the gun against her temple. She pounded on his chest, fists flying. "You killed my father! You... you monster! I hate you!" He didn't flinch. After a moment, his patience snapped. "Enough!" he shouted. "No more words." "Yes... I killed your father. I did." "Stop screaming!"he barked. He grabbed her jaw, forcing her to look at him. "Now... it's time to get married. Let's go. The priest is waiting. We don't want to make him wait, do we... hmm?" She spat on his face. He just smirked. Licked the spit from his lips, rolling his tongue. "Mmm... tasty," he said, voice low. "You should've kissed me directly. No worries... we'll do it after our wedding." He leaned closer. "Do you want to see his dead body... hmm? One last look at your father?" She whispered, trembling, "Please... let me go." " You don't want to? Okay... let me throw his body away then." "No! I... I want to see him, please. He is my father !" "Good girl," he said, smirk still dark. "Now... come on. The priest is waiting." 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘰𝘮. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯. 𝘏𝘦'𝘴 𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦. He wasn't just my best friend. He was my architect. Ela Miller is "clumsy." She's the girl who loses her keys, fails her bio-labs, and relies on her genius best friend, Liam Vance, to keep her world upright. When their parents leave them alone for a month during a record-breaking storm, Liam offers to teach her the "lessons" she's missed out on-how to kiss, how to touch, how to know a man. But as the rain pours, the "puppy-eyed" boy-next-door starts to slip. Every touch is too practiced. Every "accidental" encounter feels like a trap. And the security cameras in the house? They aren't for her protection. They're for his viewing. Ela thinks she's the teacher. She has no idea she's the prey. By the time the sun comes out, Liam doesn't just want her heart. He wants her name, her future, and every breath she takes. He's been planning this for twenty-one years. And he's tired of playing nice. He didn't become obsessed because he didn't understand love-he became obsessed because he thought he understood it too well. Growing up, he saw a kind of love that felt safe, constant, and complete, and somewhere along the way, he started believing that this was the only way life could feel whole. So when he met her, he didn't just see a person-he saw the possibility of recreating that same world. And slowly, without even realizing it, his love turned into something heavier... something that needed to hold on too tightly, just to feel secure. She wasn't unaware-she was just never taught to trust herself. Growing up, every decision was made for her, every mistake corrected, every thought quietly replaced by someone else's "better" way. So when he stepped in to guide her, it didn't feel like control... it felt familiar. He didn't take her independence away-she had never really learned to hold onto it in the first place. And when care starts to look like control, it becomes almost impossible to tell the difference.

⚠️ MATURE⚠️ This story contains strong use of language and mature scenes. If you are offended easily do not read. •.• I snuggled into the comfortable warmth of the fluffy pillow as I was eager to go back to sleep. The fan lullabied me into a hazy state. Suddenly, a heavy weight landed on my waist, pulling me from the tired daze. I leaned up in shock as my hands flung forward defensively to push whoever was on me off. With a strong force, my shoulders were shoved backwards and into the mattress. Grunts of struggle filled the room as we fought each other. The offender grabbed my wrists and held them firmly above my head with one strong hand. Sobs of terror escaped from my chest as a thumb caressed my cheek to wipe away the spilled tears. "P-please let go of me," I begged, trembling. "You are so beautiful." A man's voice spoke, his large hand leaving my face and traveling down my body to squeeze my pelvic region. "Stop." I screeched, my demand ricocheting between the four bedroom walls. The man growled darkly. "If you scream again, I will kill you." I nodded keenly in response to show that I would not challenge his threat. His hand slowly freed my mouth, testing if I would disobey him. He reached into his pocket. A knife, zip tie, and a rag were all revealed. The view made me realize that this could be my last chance to get help. If I did not call out right now, he would take me. I would not make it out alive either way. I let out a bloodcurdling scream loud enough to wake up the whole neighborhood.

I didn't catch her to kill her. I caught her to keep her. They told me the siren was a monster. A bloodthirsty nightmare that took everything from me twenty-three years ago. So, I did what any sane man would do. I hunted her. I harpooned her. I dragged her out of the salt water and into my world. Now, she's in my house. She lives in a drained swimming pool, dry, cold, and entirely mine. To the scientists, she's a specimen. To the world, she's a myth. But to me? She's my wife. I put a ring on her finger and a hook in her life, and I'm never letting go. I don't want a "happily ever after." I don't want a healthy love. I want to watch her from the dark until she forgets what the ocean feels like. I want to be the only thing she sees when she opens her eyes. I want to break her wild spirit until the only thing left is her devotion to the man who stole her freedom. She thinks she's the predator. She hasn't realized yet that I've been a monster much longer than she has. She's not a guest. She's not a pet. She's MY SOUL. And I've always been very protective of what belongs to me.
