Thomas and Newt decide to meet up, with some other friends, and investigate an abandoned building out in the middle of nowhere. The idea was Thomas' but if he'd known what was to come, both good and very, very bad, he may never have asked anyone to go. That would mean all of the close moments the two boys shared, like when they had lent in to kiss, would never have happened. The question was, would it have been worth it to call the whole trip off, when it would prevent Newt and Thomas from falling for each other but also stop the storm from causing so much pain for the boys? Newt and Thomas, the main ship in this story, have gone through lots of things together. Well. When they finally escape the hell hole of a situation, their lives change. They meet families and friends and learn something about each other that no one would have guessed. But is that the end?

Thomas awakens in a box, remembering only his first name. He arrives in the Glade, a place surrounded by an unsolvable maze, a place full of teenage boys, who also have no idea how they'd gotten there. Then a girl arrives with a message, saying everything is going to change. And the fight to get out of there becomes much more important. WARNING: There will be many triggering things in this series but I will put trigger warnings at the beginning of those chapters NEARLY ALL CHARACTERS OWNED BY JAMES DASHNER, NOT BY ME. Newt is suffering in the Glade, he's overwhelmed with everything that they are put through and being in the dark about it all is unbearable. He feels like he won't be able to cope with any of it anymore, and even tries to end it all. But all changes when Thomas arrives. He feels drawn toward that Greenie for some reason. Thomas will make him feel stronger; together they will find a way out of the Maze, through the Scorch and toward a Cure. A/N: I'll stick with the cannon (mostly book cannon all along the most of the trilogy, but following the cure arc of the movie), making time jumps to moments along the trilogy adding the romance between the two. Newt has always been scared of falling in love. In Fact he was anti love his whole life. He had a hard time saying 'I love you' to anyone. Even his own family- and he had no idea why. Maybe it was the lack of love shown in his family? Who knows. That was until he fell in love. He fell in love with a boy. He fell in love with someone he had just met. And my god, Newt was petrified by the whole idea. Back in South London he lived with his mother, father, and younger sister Sonya. Ofcourse, That was until his parents got a divorce. Newt and Sonya were sick of living in London, so they moved in with their Grandparents who lived in a small town in Colorado. It was their cheapest option overall. Over the summer Newt decided to get a job at a Café and one day a boy named Thomas comes in with his group of friends and becomes regulars- and becomes friends over the last month of the summer. Since it's a small town, they end up going to the same school. And that, Newt's regular customer Thomas was the one he fell in love with.
