But, when Tanjiro meets Muzan on a certain busy street, he suddenly realizes that-- Muzan is seriously pretty. He feels his heart skip a beat. Or two. Muzan wasn't interested in Tanjiro before, but once he heard that Tanjiro can give something no one else ever gave... It sparked something. "Affection...?" Muzan wanted to feel affection.
